Halleh is a Physics PhD candidate who uses X-rays and lasers to study optical and electronic properties in novel materials and develops new cameras and sensors based on these new material properties. She is interested in the role of science and technology in diplomacy and global politics. Prior to her PhD, Halleh worked as a science journalist in Washington D.C.
