Mitch developed a passion for communicating science while earning an undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts as a part of the iCons program. At Berkeley, this was the motivation for serving as a delegate to the Nuclear Engineering Student Delegation to Washington, D.C. where he gained an appreciation for the intricacy of the policy world, and how science can play a role in the development of policy.
